BIOGRAPHICAL HIGHLIGHTS
Lendaria was born and raised in a Syndicate fesin [training house for the lodubyaln]. Knowing only the life of a lodubyal [life-contractor], she spent her early years being hauled from one auction to the next - constantly teased and tortured by the guards as she watched her ruri [sisters] being sold off one after the other.
It was at one such auction where fate took a different turn for Lendaria, as the Syndicate cell operating this particular event on Rigel IX had also taken a number of Starfleet officers captive from a raid on the USS Cairo. This led to the Cairo's MACO detachment launching a rescue effort to recover their lost personnel, which resulted in a tragic bloodbath thanks to the Syndicate's heavy handed and panicked response.
A young Lendaria was found by the Cairo's CMO - Michelle Denton - buried beneath the bodies of the ruri she was sealed in a cage with. Denton found the young Orion girl in a hysterical state and was only able to sedate with the MACO's assistance in restraining the girl. Taking sympathy on the child, Denton took her back to the Cairo and would later become her legal guardian after no living relative could be identified. From here, Lendaria matured through her teenage years in the company of Starfleet - a wholly more enlightened view on the galaxy than she had ever dreamed possible during her younger years. This led her to joining the academy after certain measures were put in place to safeguard those around Lendaria from the effects of her natural pheromones. From the wide range of options available, she chose to have an implant fitted which would restrict her natural pheromone production to levels safe for other species to be around her.
Lendaria followed in the footsteps of her adoptive mother with scientific studies. Though she did not find a natural tendency towards the medical fields, she did excel in exobiology whilst also discovering a natural flair for xenolinguistics. This led to her pursuit of a career on the frontiers of exploration where she eventually found herself settled in a lab on DS13. Whilst here, the husk of the USS Cairo was discovered by the USS Gainsborough and her computer core recovered. Learning of this, Lendaria shifted her focus to the deciphering of the heavily degraded logs though was unable to glean much as to the fate of the ship before an unprovoked attack from Syndicate assassins almost cost her life, and resulted in Starfleet Intelligence confiscating the logs for more secure processing.
The upside of the Syndicate attempt on her life, was the emergence of her birth mother - Tabadi Mysti - who revealed to Lendaria's Vijra [romantic partner] that she had been aware of Lendaria's survival for a number of years, but chosen to remain distant for fear of seeing her daughter dragged back into a life less fortunate than the one she knows with Starfleet. As time passed, the two would come closer together and see Lendaria spend increasing amounts of off duty time with Mysti and the newly reformed OSN where she would even assist on occasion with the liberation of other fesin's - as had become something of a trademark action of Mysti and her proud new ship; the SNV Thana Vaneri.
